Join the City of Rockwall for the Mappiest Day of the Year

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 30, 2018) On Wednesday, November 14, the City of Rockwall’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) will host its 5th Annual GIS Day event. GIS Day is an international event that showcases how GIS is used and what the technology offers. It also coincides with National Geography Awareness Week, a geographic literacy initiative sponsored by the National Geographic Society.

Rockwall’s GIS will have a map gallery, educational videos, GIS technology, and GPS equipment on display. This event is open to all. It will be hosted at City Hall in the Council Chambers from 11:00am-4:00pm. So don’t miss out! Come and learn how GIS is being used, illustrated, and its value for the City of Rockwall and its residents.
