(ROCKWALL, TX — November 2, 2018) The Rockwall Noon Rotary recognized Amy Parks-Heath Elementary 6th grader Keaton Steen as the Rotary Student of Honor this week. Rotarian and County Judge David Sweet and Amy Parks-Heath Elementary Principal Megan Smith presented Steen the award.
Before presenting the award to Steen, Smith read out some positive comments about him from his fellow students and teachers.
“Keaton is an exemplary young man who humbly leads his peers and gives 100 percent in every endeavor,” Smith said. “He has the amazing ability to take initiative whenever he works with others on projects. He’s kind and compassionate, often putting others needs before his own.”
Steen also plays the guitar, participates in Boy Scouts, and serves as the president of the school’s Core Council student leadership team.
