Heart of Heath 5K

The City of Heath’s traditional Easter Saturday celebration on April 20 features the Heart of Heath 5k and 1-Mile Family Run with awards for the top 3 boys and top 3 girls!

What to expect:

*USATF Certified 5k course with chip-timed start and finish lines for 5k participants

*5k awards for top 3 overall plus top 3 males and females in each age bracket

*1-Mile Family Run—integrated into the 5k course, with same start and finish lines

*1-Mile Family Run awards for top 3 boys and top 3 girls

*Dri-fit T-shirts for 5k and Family Run participants while supplies last
—Register and pick up packets prior to the event to ensure you get your 2019 edition!

* Giant-size games like chess, checkers, Jenga and Connect 4

*Complimentary healthy treats including mini fruit smoothies from Smoothie King

*Prize drawings for registered runners

*The Easter Bunny!

The fun begins in Towne Center Park with a runners’ warm up at 8 a.m.; the Family Run starts at 8:15; and the 5k is at 8:30 a.m. with awards and prizes afterwards. Proceeds benefit Heath’s parks and trails.

This event is rain or shine. However, if safety threats occur due to severe weather/lightening, updates will be posted on Facebook pages maintained by the City of Heath and Heath DPS.

Superhero 5K and Fun Run

Be a hero for abused and neglected children and join Lone Star CASA for its 10th Annual Superhero 5K on  Saturday, Oct. 27, at Rockwall City Hall (385 S Goliad St.). Check in and late registration begins at 7AM, with a Family/Kids Fun Run at 8:30AM. The 5K will follow at 9AM. Awards will be presented at 10AM. Y Rock Sprint Triathlon plus 5K & 1-Mile Run

Registration is underway now for those wishing to participate in the Y Rock Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, June 24 at J.E.R. Chilton YMCA, 1210 N. Goliad St. in Rockwall. The course features a 300-yard pool swim (snake swim in the Y’s 25-yard indoor pool), a 9.5 mile (2 loops) bike ride, and 3.1 mile run.

New this year is a Run-Bike-Run event happening at the same time, for those seeking an alternative to the traditional Swim-Bike-Run.

In addition, the Y Rock 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run returns this year, providing an opportunity for everyone of all ages and abilities to take part in an active, fun day.

Green Door 5K/10K and Fun Run + Green Door Dash

Join Children’s Relief International (CRI) for the 9th Annual Green Door 5k, 10K and One Mile Fun Run + Green Door Dash at Harry Myers Park in Rockwall, Texas. This family friendly event is perfect for serious runners, novices, or just those who want to help the poor in a tangible way. All proceeds to towards Building Green Door Homes supports CRI’s Green Door Project – which provide homes for widows, orphans, the weak and disabled in the Dondo, Mozambique area.

Santa Cops 4 Kids 5K, 10K and 1-mile Fun Run

Rockwall Ford and the Rockwall Police Officer’s Association are proud to present the Inaugural Santa Cops 4 Kids 1 mile fun run, 5k, and 10k Race benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center or Rockwall County on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Heath Hawks Holiday Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

Holiday-Hustle-Ad-FinalRockwall-Heath High School will host its 2nd Annual Heath Hawks Holiday Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016.

Runners are encouraged to dress in their most festive attire as they hustle through Heath with the Hawks Cross Country Team. Medals will be awarded to age group winners and all registered participants will be eligible for door prizes.

If you are not a runner but would still like to support our team, no worries, just register as a couch potato participant and you will receive one of our awesome race shirts without ever leaving the comfort of your couch. Following the race, you can warm up and refuel at Pancakes for the Park in the RHHS cafeteria benefitting the Sammy Knostman Memorial Fund.

Run for Rover 5K

Bring your ‘fur buddy’ to the Rockwall PAWS Run for Rover 5K event at Harry Myers Park in Rockwall! Cost is $25 per person, $5 per dog. All proceeds are to fund the treatment of Heartworm Positive dogs from the Rockwall Animal shelter.
