Easter Bunny to make special stop in Rockwall this weekend

Rockwall Parks and Recreation Department hosts the special visitor, tons of activities for area children

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 17, 2016) The Easter Bunny will make an appearance this weekend in Rockwall—so be sure to bring your camera to get a good picture. The Rockwall Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Harry Myers Park this Saturday, March 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All the day’s events are free, and children of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in the fun.

There will truly be something for everyone at this 13th annual event, including bounce houses, inflatable derby races, obstacle courses, and even a petting zoo. There will also be cotton candy, popcorn and about 35,000 strategically hidden Easter eggs, some of which include “eggstra” special prizes!

Families may want to get to Harry Myers Park early to get a good spot, because the Easter Egg Hunt starts at 9:30 a.m. The events will be separated by age groups to give younger children a better chance at hunting. In addition, this year, there will be an added feature for children with special needs. Good weather is expected for Saturday, so the Rockwall Parks Department is expecting a huge turnout for the day’s events, which could top last year’s record of nearly 2,000.
