Family fun at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary’s Fall Carnival

Their faces say it all!

ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 16, 2023) The rain moved out and good times rolled in as Amy Parks-Heath Elementary students, staff and families gathered Oct. 5 for APHE’s 3rd Annual Fall Carnival.

Festivities included amusement rides, Midway games, an inflatable corn maze, face painting, balloon artists, and fair-themed treats from the Boardwalk Bites food truck.

APHE Student Council collected donations from carnival-goers – including board games, sketch pads, pajamas and winter jackets – in exchange for raffle entries. The donated items benefitted the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. The raffle prize was a rolling red Yeti cooler, two Stanley tumblers, and a family season pass package to the State Fair of Texas.

Volunteers from local organizations including Heath High School Student Council, National Junior Honor Society and Boys Team Charity League helped run carnival games and booths. Heath police and firefighters were also onsite to the delight of the kids.

The Fall Carnival coincided with the kick off of APHE’s annual Boosterthon fundraiser registration. Students received lollipops for registering at the carnival.

The outstanding efforts of carnival chair Samantha Cullins, along with the generous support of sponsors and volunteers, helped make the event a huge, Texas-sized success. Shout-out to sponsors Fine Line Metal Fabricators, Inc., Welborn Garage, Home by Sean & Catherine Lowe, Your Virtual Agent Insurance, and Signature Signs & Graphics.
