Dorothy Ramsay presents program on JFK's assassination.

ROCKWALL (November 22, 2013) The Friday Study Club met November 15th in the home of Peg Pannell Smith. Barbara Wardlaw and Caroline Cullins were co-hostesses.

Caroline, at the piano, entertained arriving members with beautiful music.

Following the business session, Dorothy Ramsay presented the program, “What Were You Doing on November 22, 1963?”, an appropriate subject as memories of President John Kennedy’s assassination fifty years ago have been resurrected worldwide.

Each member shared their personal memories of where they were and what they were doing when the news of the terrible tragedy filled the airwaves.  The stories were very interesting and varied but all were emotionally the same with shock and sadness.

Betty Moon continued her “trip down memory lane” with more information from the records of the Friday Study Club in its early years.  FSC is Rockwall’s oldest club for women.

Barbara Wardlaw announced she would be delivering the Club’s annual contributions to the Terrell State Hospital.  Anyone wishing to accompany her would be welcome to do so.

Tea, coffee and delicious cake were served by the hostesses.
