Galaxy Ranch Private School in Rockwall celebrates 10th anniversary

(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 12, 2016) Smiles are even more plentiful at Galaxy Ranch Private School this month where owners Brad and Alicia Larsen and their staff are celebrating their 10th year of operation.

High-quality child care for children ages 18 months through kindergarten is just the beginning of what you will find at this beautiful facility where the staff is dedicated to child-centered education based on exploration. After-school care also is available for area Rockwall ISD students in kindergarten through 6th grade. An extensive, weekly themed summer program — with frequent visits to the Larsen’s Wills Point Rocking L Ranch — also is available.

Developing healthy children with an exceptional nutrition program is a hallmark of the Galaxy program. The school has its own chef on staff and is committed to providing fresh, preservative-free, nutrient-rich meals and snacks at every sitting.

Ample exercise is key in the school’s philosophy as each student ages 3 years and older takes part in weekly, structured swimming lessons. The 23,000-square-foot facility is built around a climate-controlled, indoor swimming pool where children swim year-round. A true family business, the Larsens’ daughter, Claire, a recent graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, has returned to Rockwall to lead the swim program. Swim lessons and swim clubs are available to community members as well and can be arranged by calling the school.

The school’s November 2006 opening marked a return to Rockwall childcare for area residents. Brad Larsen’s mother, Pauline Logan, is a pioneer in the development of early-childhood education in Texas, opening her first preschool, Happiness House in Dallas, in 1965, followed by Happiness House Private School in Rockwall in 1970.
