Congratulations to the Rockwall ISD
The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce recently selected the Rockwall ISD as its May 2013 Partner Spotlight of the Month. Chamber president Dana Macalik recognized the RISD for its commitment and participation as a partner in the Chamber. She noted that Rockwall High School was the host site for the Chamber’s Taste of Rockwall and Business Expo in April, and that the Rockwall High School Performing Arts Center at Utley served as the venue for the Chick-fil-A Leadercast event.
RISD Superintendent Jeff Bailey and Executive Director of Communications Sheri Fowler were on hand to accept the award from last month’s Partner Spotlight Award recipient, Sheila Hair with My Computer Guy.
“The Rockwall Independent School District is pleased to be recognized as the Chamber’s Partner Spotlight of the Month. As we serve our 14,500 students and their families, we understand the benefits of strong business and community partners. We are so grateful to have community partners who support our district and our students through our mentoring program and our marketing initiatives. Many business partners also support our Education Foundation and participate in our job shadowing program for middle school students. Without doubt, Rockwall businesses support and encourage our district in so many ways.
It is also a privilege to be able to support our business community in return. Recent partnerships include the Taste of Rockwall and Business Expo as well as the Chick-fil-A Leadercast. Rockwall ISD facilities have been utilized to host these events and we are so glad that we have been able to provide venues that will help make these community events successful. We also enjoy our association with the Leadership Rockwall program and look forward each year to hosting this outstanding group of community leaders as they learn about the daily business of our school district.
