Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church in Heath hosts donations drive for Austin Street Center Aug. 9

ROCKWALL, TX – August 6, 2020 — Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church in Heath is hosting a donations drive for the Austin Street Center on Aug. 9 from 1-3 p.m. The Austin Street Center provides emergency shelter and services for the most vulnerable homeless men and women.

Here’s a list of what to donate:

  • Sandwiches, individually wrapped in baggies, placed in bread loaf bag and identified on the outside of the bag.

  • Individually wrapped condiment packets, individual packets of sugar and creamer

  • Ethnic hair care products (oil-based shampoo and conditioner, edge control hair gel, herbal gro)

  • Individual drinks, such as juice boxes, Capri Suns, Gatorade, water bottles

  • Monetary donations (please label envelope with organization name)

  • Gift cards to Sam’s Club, Walmart and Target

  • Sanitizing wipes (must contain 60% alcohol)

  • Antibacterial hand soap (individual container or refill bottle)

  • Snacks: individually packaged chips, fruit snacks, and crackers

  • Large and extra-large underwear for men and women

  • Flip flops or shower shoes, tennis shoes for men and women

  • High strength reading glasses

  • Feminine products: pads and panty liners

  • Disposable razors

  • Towels (new or gently used)

  • Twin-size blankets or throws

  • Jeans

  • Short-sleeved t-shirts (for men and women)
