Irving Mayor, City Council to host Town Hall meetings

(By Irving Chamber/IrvingChamber.com) Irving residents are encouraged to come out and meet with newly elected Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and City Council members from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at one of three upcoming Town Hall meetings:

  • July 27, Heritage Senior Center, 200 S. Jefferson St.
  • Aug. 2, Irving Mall, 3880 Irving Mall (lower level, food court entrance)
  • Aug. 10, Ranchview High School, 8401 Valley Ranch Parkway East

The interactive meetings will be facilitated by City Council members members annd will allow residents to weigh in on community matters including the 2011-12 Strategic Plan, Heritage Crossing redevelopment, proposed entertainment venue, city budget and public safety.

“This town hall meeting format breaks new ground and allos for more interaction with the residents and their elected officials,” said Van Duyne. “We want to hear from our residents and are hopeful that those who have not had the opportunity to be as involved in the community will join us for one of the Town Hall meetings.”
