Wylie ISD seeks Bond Steering Committee members

(Wylie) [Wylie ISD Community News] The Wylie ISD is seeking two community members to serve on the district’s Bond Review Committee.

Volunteer members serve a three-year term and must attend four meetings per year. Meetings are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the first meeting will be Oct. 31.

The committee is charged with reviewing budget and financial information regarding Wylie ISD bond programs. Information will include, but is not limited to, construction timelines, expenditures, percentages of completion of projects and issues impeding or speeding projects.

The Committee counsels and provides input to the administration, but it does not have management or policy-setting responsibilities.

Those interested in serving should email WISD Executive Director of Communications and Community Relations Ian Halperin at ian.halperin@wylieisd.net by Friday, Sept. 16. Members will be selected via a drawing on Monday, Sept. 19.

For more information on WISD’s Bond Steering Committee, go to Bond Review Committee Charter and Bond Review Responsibilities.
