Lewisville Public Library activities for November

The Lewisville Public Library, located at 1197 W. Main St. in Lewisville, has a host of fun and educational activities lined up for November.

 First Friday Fun! Pre-school Special

Ring in the eating season at the Library Feeding Frenzy at 11:30 Friday, Nov. 4. Preschool children and their parents are invited to share the fun and the joy of reading in the Cynthia Bennett Children’s Wing of the Lewisville Public Library.

Family Craft Day

On Sunday, Nov. 13, between 2- 4 p.m., join the library for a drop-in crafting day. All necessary items are provided. Family Craft Day is held in the Cynthia Bennett Children’s Wing.

Kids Computer Classes

Classes are held the second Wednesday of the month, 4:30 p.m., in the Computer Lab. Children in grades 4 & 5 (ages 9 – 11) are invited for the two remaining sessions in a four-part series of hands-on computer workshops covering library catalog searches, website evaluation, Microsoft PowerPoint and more. Space is limited and sign up is required. (Nov. 9 and Dec. 14).

LegoMania!

On Sunday, Nov. 27, 2-3 p.m., LegoMania is held in the Bennett Program Room. There are lots of LEGOs to share (and DUPLOs for younger builders). under 6 years must be accompanied by an adult in the program.

Crafternoon for Teens

Crafternoon is now open to all teens. Join the Teen Librarian at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 for some cool crafting. There will be enough supplies for everyone registered.  Space is limited and open to all 6th – 12th graders.

Middle School Book Club

The book club will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. The club meets the third Wednesday of the month at Lewisville Public Library’s Teen Point (second floor of the library).

Teen Role Playing Sessions

Lewisville Public Library will hold Teen Role Playing Sessions on Monday nights. Lose yourself in another world on November 7and 21playing One for All: Régime Diabolique, and Nov. 14and 28 with Rhül: Conquest of the New World. All Role Playing Sessions are from 6- 8:30 p.m. in Teen Point (second floor of the library). Teens age 12-18 are welcome.

Lewisville Public Library Teen Advisory Group

On Thursday, Nov. 3 and 17 at 7 p.m., give input the teen experiences the library can offer. Develop leadership skills, learn to work as a team and earn community service hours, too. Applications are available at the youth service desk, and meetings are held the first and third Thursday of the month.
