Spector’s Gun Collection set for free Oct. 11 concert at MCL Grand

(Lewisville) The popular “Sounds of Lewisville” concert series, a free family favorite since 1991, will present Spector’s Gun Collection on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the courtyard of the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street in the heart of historic Old Town Lewisville.

Spector’s Gun Collection (and Naked Lunch on Oct. 18) starts at 7 p.m. Food and beverages are available for purchase at the event through the MCL Grand concessionaire. Outside beverages are prohibited at the concert series due to TABC licensing. Beverages must be purchased from the on-site concessionaire. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed at the shows.

“Sounds of Lewisville” concerts are coordinated by the City of Lewisville Community Relations & Tourism Department with assistance from the Parks and Leisure Services Department. For more information, call 972-219-3401 or visit soundsoflewisville.com.

Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, located at 100 N. Charles Street between Main and Church streets, opened its doors in January. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical Center of Lewisville reached a multi-year agreement with the city last year for naming rights at the center.

To reach the MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Parking is not allowed on the grass lot across Church Street from the center.
