 MidSouth Bank, now with five Banking Centers in North Dallas, Mesquite, Rockwall, White Rock and Fort Worth, has been invited to participate in the True Blue Business Recognition Series, a program that publicly recognizes exceptional companies and business owners that are “doing business right.”

Scott Sams, morning show host at KRLD NewsRadio 1080 and former news anchor at CBS 11 and WFAA-TV Channel 8, interviewed Lynn Fowler, Regional President of MidSouth Bank, to gain insight into the people, practices and core beliefs that make MidSouth Bank a True Blue Business. A portion of the interview will air on KRLD in November. The full conversation and video will be featured at BlueRibbonNews.com, DFW’s online community news source that highlights good news and events from area neighborhoods, churches, schools, businesses, clubs and organizations.

In addition, MidSouth Bank will be profiled in print in the True Blue Business special supplement to The Wall Street Journal.

Companies identified as True Blue Businesses deliver quality goods and services while demonstrating a strong commitment to their customers, employees, and the community. They act with honesty and integrity, are “true blue” and loyal to the people they serve, and often go the extra mile. In short, they are the companies that Dallas-Fort Worth can count on.

True Blue Businesses are approved based on information obtained through comprehensive interviews and research. The evaluation process involves input from principles, officers, management, employees, and customers to determine a company’s ability to consistently demonstrate:

  • honesty and integrity in day-to-day dealings with customers, in the management of employees, in interactions with the community;
  • responsiveness in resolving customer complaints, handling employee matters, and adapting to changing market conditions;
  • and goodwill toward customers, employees, and the community.

“We’re honored to receive True Blue recognition,” said Rusty Cloutier, CEO, MidSouth Bank. “We built a business on relationships, sound banking principles, and warm, friendly service – and we’re humbled that those qualities helped lead MidSouth Bank to being named a True Blue Business.”

MidSouth Bank, recognized as one of the South’s fastest growing community banks (with branches in Houston, Beaumont, Vidor, College Station, Conroe and Louisiana), recently acquired Jefferson Bank branches located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, bringing MidSouth’s old-fashioned service and modern conveniences to the area’s small business and retail banking customers.

“MidSouth Bank is rooted in traditional, old-fashioned values,” said Alex Calicchia, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “But we’re modern from the perspective of the services we offer and the way we drive our business. We recognize that technology should be used to enhance customer service, not replace it. That’s what makes us uniquely different.”

When calling any of the bank’s 40 locations, customers receive personal attention, rather than being dumped into an automated phone system. “Unless every line is full when you call, you actually get to talk to a live person who answers the phone,” Calicchia said.

MidSouth Bank introduced Fresh Start, an ombudsman program aimed at helping customers who repeatedly overdraw their accounts. The bank’s account analysis counselors assist customers who are having difficulty, teaching them to live within their means and avoid additional fees or interest.
