(Lewisville) July 16, 2012Keep Lewisville Beautiful will present a free Garden Secrets class from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at the Lewisville Memorial Park Recreation Center, 1950-B South Valley Parkway.

This informative class on “Composting” is the perfect class for learning all about the composting process.

Backyard composting plays a crucial role in water quality, nutrient management, soil conservation and recycling. It’s the natural way to recycle all of your kitchen and yard wastes. Composting can greatly reduce volume going to the landfill while providing many benefits for the home garden.

The key speaker for the class, Monica Chaffin, is an active Denton County Master Gardener. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for this informative composting gardening class. There will also be a question/answer session.
