AMICA’s donation to Helping Hands will provide school supplies for families in need

(Rockwall) August 1, 2012 – AMICA, a non-profit group of 40 women, continues its tradition of supporting Helping Hands and its mission to assist Rockwall residents in times of crisis.

AMICA’s recent gift of $5,000 to Helping Hands will be used to buy school supplies for children of families in need.

Volunteering their time and dedicating themselves to making a difference in the community, AMICA members support the needs of local non-profit organizations serving Rockwall County.

Helping Hands is the top beneficiary of AMICA gifts, which total $32,942 since 1995. AMICA members can also be counted on to attend and support Helping Hands special events such as the annual Festival of Trees and the annual fashion show.

AMICA raises funds each year at their annual charity gala, Denim & Diamonds.

“We are proud and grateful to have the support of AMICA,” said Margo Nielson, Helping Hands Executive Director. “Their giving spirit and their commitment to help meet the needs of Rockwall non-profit organizations are what make Rockwall such a great community.”
