Rockwall Chamber presents Rockin’ at the Harbor


(Rockwall) September 12, 2012 –  Step right up to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of The Harbor, North Texas’ premier dining, shopping and entertainment district on the picturesque shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce presents “Rockin’ at The Harbor,” a circus-themed evening of progressive pop-in parties and live music under the Big Top, tailored to guests age 21 and older.

Ticket holders should arrive at The Harbor District by 5:30 p.m. Saturday, September 29, where they’ll receive complimentary valet parking to the private party extraordinaire. The “Ringmaster” will escort guests on a whimsical adventure through several of The Harbor’s finest eateries and party points, where taste buds will be tempted with delectable food and drink.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall is the title sponsor of the event. Oncor is also a major sponsor.

The finale will feature Random Axis – the versatile, eight-member Metroplex band whose show-stopping saxophone player, swinging rhythm section and vocal gymnasts will rock The Harbor until midnight.

Every party-goer will receive a Swag Bag with various prizes, including a cigar from En Fuego Tobacco Shop. In one of those gift bags, Willis Fine Jewelry will have placed a pair of diamond earrings!

All of this merriment is available to a limited number of guests on a first-come, first-served basis, for one convenient admission price of $50.

Progressive Pop-In Parties

Guests will be guided to several Harbor hot spots – among them Dodie’s Cajun Dinerwhere they’ll be treated to thirst-quenching spirits and tasty appetizers. The journey will include a stop aboard Harbor Lights, a 57-foot dining vessel captained by Scott Self.  There, samplings from El Cayote Rojo will be accompanied by Salsa dancing. Specialty acts will entertain and amuse, as party-goers make their way to Mistra, the signature restaurant at the Hilton Bella Harbor. A visit to the Grotto is also included, where Villas, the Brazilian Steakhouse will serve up a party on the patio – along with five different types of meats. More sips and nosh await guests at the posh Providence Place Boutique.

Under the Big Top

The party trail leads to the Big Top, where Random Axis performs live on stage. Popcorn, peanuts and other circus fare will compliment the festive atmosphere. Tasty treats will be dished out from Frosted WhimsyBud Light will service the circus tent with beer and wine, as Campisi’s delivers authentic Italian favorites. Starbucks will keep the party brewing, along with Nothing Bundt Cakes. Cole Mountain Feed Store and Firehouse Subs round out the mix. Add in a splash of excitement from Tito’s Handmade Vodka spirit lounge and Rockin’ at The Harbor becomes the destination of choice for guests seeking a dining and entertainment experience unlike any other in the North Texas area.
