Cadillac Pizza Pub voted Best Bar

McKinney Magazine readers recognize neighborhood pub renowned for great pizza, beer and live music

(McKinney) October 10, 2012 – Cadillac Pizza Pub was voted the Best Bar/Pub/Nightlife in McKinney by readers of McKinney Magazine.

More than 7,000 votes were cast in the 2012 “Best of McKinney” competition, which recognizes local residents’ favorite businesses, from small, family-owned enterprises to larger companies spanning a wide range of product and service categories.

With its mouthwatering wood-fired pizza, 12 beers on tap and the best live music in North Texas, it should come as no surprise that “The Caddy” was voted McKinney’s most popular nightlife destination.

“We’re very proud and excited that The Caddy was voted best bar in McKinney,” said Preston Lancaster, founder of THREE/THREE Restaurants and co-owner of Cadillac Pizza Pub.  “We work really hard to make our pub a place ‘where everybody knows your name.’  Everything we do, from the food and beer we serve, to the musicians we bring in, is designed to give Caddy’s a warm and cool local vibe that you simply can’t find anywhere else in North Texas.”

Up-and-coming musicians of every genre are drawn to The Caddy by its unique feel, which evokes the cool blues of Memphis, the hipster buzz of Austin and the festive spirit of New Orleans.

“We couldn’t have won this award without the outstanding people that take such great care of our customers,” said Tony Smith, co-owner of The Caddy.  “From our service-oriented wait staff to our incredible chefs, and everyone behind the scenes that make this place so welcoming, this was a genuine team effort.  I’m so proud of everybody for helping us earn this distinction.”

Located one block off the square in the revitalized historic area of Downtown McKinney, Cadillac Pizza Pub is the place to go for a laid-back happy hour or a delicious pizza dinner accompanied by a cool, live music vibe.

In a unique twist frommost restaurants, The Caddy is committed to sourcing local ingredients for its menu.  For example, the pub uses a local “Texas Sausage” made exclusively for its applewood-fired pizzas by Hamm’s Meat Market, as well as smoked brisket, applewood-smoked bacon and many other products provided by local vendors.

Lancaster and Smith accepted the Best Bar award at a ceremony held at Rick’s Chophouse on September 27.  McKinney Magazine’s annual business issue, featuring coverage of all the 2012 “Best of McKinney” award winners, was also revealed at the awards ceremony.
