Rock wall, myth or mystery

(ROCKWALL-January 5, 2013) Amateur archeologist and geologist David Campbell, a resident of Denison, recently presented an interesting comparison of rock formations found in other parts of the world and our local rock wall.

Campbell, who has traveled extensively, exhibited a portion of his collection of artifacts.  As no definitive conclusion can be drawn with this added information, the debate continues.

An encore presentation, The Rock Wall – Myth or Mystery, will be included in the upcoming Brown Bag Lecture series presented by the Rockwall County Historical Foundation in conjunction with the Rockwall County Historical Commission. The Brown Bag Lecture Series is free and open to the public. All programs are from noon until 1 p.m. in the second floor courtroom at the historical courthouse in downtown Rockwall. Guests are invited to bring a lunch to enjoy as they listen to programs that address topics related to Rockwall history.

Stay tuned to Blue Ribbon News and watch the Foundation website for the lecture schedule that will resume in February.
