Honor Flight DFW escorts WW II veterans to national monuments, including Arlington National Cemetery.

(Rockwall) August 19, 2013 – Veterans of WWII are invited to be the honored guests at Friends of the Rockwall County Library at the September 10th meeting.  Linda Robinson, Honor Flight DFW Coordinator, is the featured speaker at the 11:00 a.m. meeting held in the Community Room of the Rockwall County Library.

Honor Flight DFW is an all-volunteer organization created to honor America’s veterans living in the North Texas area for their service and sacrifices.  There are more than 400 WW II veterans on its waiting list for a two-day all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.  They have conducted seven flights with more planned.

All veterans, especially members of the Greatest Generation are invited to come hear the program and receive the thanks and gratitude of your grateful neighbors.  For more information and reservations, contact Darlene Bealmear, 469-698-0114.
