Bark for Life, 5K gives leg up on Rockwall Relay for Life fundraising

(ROCKWALL – October 28, 2013) The First Annual Bark for Life and 5K Hope Run will be Saturday, November 2 at Harry Myers Park in Rockwall.

The 5K is for humans only and will begin at 8 a.m.

The Bark for Life is a mini-relay that allows participants to honor those four-legged companions in our lives when we are ill. The Bark for Life will go from 9 a.m. to about 11:30 a.m.

The money raised will benefit the American Cancer Society, as part of a kick-off fundraiser for the Relay for Life of Rockwall County in April.

The Rockwall Running Club is assisting with the 5K event.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has come on board as a main sponor. Other sponsors are Dalrock Homes, Hanby Ramey King Insurance, Jeff Lindigrin with Great Western Home Loans, LaRue Chic Boutique and Sports Authority.
