Historical Foundation reflects on Rockwall County, plans final Brown Bag program

ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (May 4, 2014) Rockwall County Historical Foundation’s  April Brown Bag program, Reflections of Rockwall County, presented by Justice of the Peace Nancy Beaty and Assistant DA Craig Stoddard,  was both informative and entertaining.  The past and the present were compared through the use of old record books and tales of the way business was handled back in the day.   Several of those in attendance added their recollections as well.

There will be only one more Brown Bag program before the summer break.  Mark your calendar for Friday, May 9  and plan to attend the meeting featuring One American Soldier.  Jo Nell Melody will share the story of her father-in-law from Royse City as he served in World War II and was captured in France.

The meetings are free and open to the public on the third floor of the historic downtown Courthouse at noon.
