More than 1,000 participants are expected at this year’s event, from competitive racers and beginners to families with young children. With improved roads and a better course – including routes of 57-miles, 40-miles, 23-miles, 13 miles and the newly introduced 3-mile or 6-mile kids loop – the 2014 event offers safe, fun and challenging options for all ages and abilities. Volunteers provide rest stops every 8 to 10 miles serving drinks, ice and fruit.

There will be fully stocked rest stops, support along the route form local law enforcement, roving bicycle mechanics providing technical support, and support vehicles patrolling between each rest stop. The JER Chilton YMCA at Rockwall will have a bounce house on-site for the kids.

Come cheer on a friend or loved one from the sidelines, enjoy the day’s entertainment, take a family bike ride, or compete in the race itself – Hot Rocks offers something for everyone.
