‘Feathers come off’ for Wing-A-Thon Wednesday

ROCKWALL, TX (September 2, 2014) The Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall County’s first annual Wing-A-Thon, sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings of Rockwall, is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3.

The “feathers come off,” says BGC Executive Director Misti Potter, as contestants compete to be crowned the Wing Queen or King.

All contestants have committed to raising money for the Boys & Girls Club and to compete in the first ever Wing-Off. The official rooster…roster…consists of two Mayors, a Sheriff, a Chief of Police, a Mayor Pro-Tem, the BGC of Rockwall Board Chairman, a Chamber President and an Attorney.

Each contestant has the option to bring in a “wingman” to eat as many wings as possible in 15 minutes. Each qualifying wing will count as one point added to the total amount of money raised per contestant. Cheering sections are encouraged and the hen pecking has already started with contestants throwing down the proverbial “drumstick,” and claiming victory before the contest has even started!
