Rockwall County Historical Foundation to host trivia contest

ROCKWALL, TX (September 23, 2014) The Rockwall County Historical Foundation will host a “Blast to the Past” Trivia Contest at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 20 at the Rockwall High School Cafeteria.

The RCHF Fall FUNdraising event is sponsored by American National Bank, Chick-Fil-A and Chilton Industries. Trivia topics include Agrarian Heritage, Municipal Progress and Lake Lore.

The community is invited to come support their favorite team by making pledges for each correct answer or a making donation in their name.

Research teams are: Captain Dana Macalik, Nancy Archibald and Kristen Minth; Captain Lucinda Rogers, Jackie Pullen and Diana Chapman; Captain Billy Self, Justin Holland and Linda Duran.

Judging the trivia contest will be Judge David Rakow, and Mayor David Sweet will serve as moderator.

Prizes include: First Place, Sail with Scott cruises and Keeper Trophies; Second Place, Wine tasting provided by San Martino Winery & Vineyards; and Third Place, a Rockwall Memorabilia Basket.

Guests will enjoy MRE’s – Meals Ready to Eat – prepared by Rockwall High School’s award-winning Culinary Arts Department.

The cost to attend is $25 and reservations are required by calling 972-722-1507.
