Santa visits with Heath Mayor Lorne Liechty

HEATH, TX (Dec. 11, 2014) It was a spectacular night as the community welcomed Christmas to Heath at the City’s Annual Holiday in the Park.

Even a sudden rain shower that drove Santa inside to the Amy Parks Elementary Cafeteria to visit with the children didn’t dampen the spirits of close to 1,000 attendees who came out to enjoy the food trucks, activity booths and live music.

Pullen Choir

The City thanks everyone who made the evening possible, including the Special Events Board for investing countless hours in planning and creative labor; City staff with Public Works at the top of the list; event volunteers including the RHHS cheerleaders and students; Atmos Energy for sponsoring the complementary cocoa; the National Charity League and Rockwall Women’s League for providing home baked Christmas cookies; and the talented student performers.

RHHS Infinity Choir

The Rockwall-Heath High School jazz band and Infinity pop choir were fabulous additions that complemented the sweet sounds of the Amy Parks and Pullen Elementary School Honor Choirs. Another new and popular attraction was the Artstream Mobile Art Studio, where owner Nikole Swize donated supplies for children to make snow!
