Four Celtic Voices to perform in Terrell Feb. 12

TERRELL, TX (Jan. 20, 2015) Four Celtic Voices will present a program of traditional and contemporary Irish repertoire at the Terrell ISD Performing Arts Center in Terrell, Texas on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. E! Terrell Entertainment Series will also sponsor a student outreach performance by Four Celtic Voices as part of their ongoing commitment to support arts education in the community.

Four Celtic Voices members, Celeste Ray (double-bowed psaltery, vocals), Maria Banks (harp), Carol Crittenden (vocals) and Alison Crossley (flute) reflect the wide variety of skills and backgrounds found in contemporary Celtic music.  Their acclaimed performances as individual performers span the globe, including appearances at Carnegie Hall with Maestro John Rutter (Ray), concert soloist with the Syracuse Symphony (Banks), the New Vic Theatre of London (Crittenden) and the Tribeca Film Festival (Crossley).  The ensemble performs a diverse mix of material, including pillars of the genre such as “Danny Boy,” traditional jigs and reels, Irish poetry and original material composed by Ray. Their album “Four Leaf Clover” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Music Chart (2009).  Follow this link to view a video featuring Four Celtic Voices.
