FRIDAY, JUNE 26
ROYSE CITY FOURTHFEST

Celebrate Freedom with free festivities, Kids Zone, live music & food trucks beginning at 6:30 p.m. at 1400 FM 1777 (between middle school & Ruth Cherry Intermediate). Deryl Dodd takes the stage at 8:15. Fireworks at 9:30.

 

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 28
LAKESHORE FREEDOM FEST

From human foosball & water rides to a petting zoo & pony rides, Lakeshore Church’s annual Freedom Fest is bursting with fun things to do. The free, family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. at 5575 Hwy 205 South & includes a fireworks show & food for purchase, with proceeds funding mission trips. SUNDAY, JUNE 28
AN AMERICAN CELEBRATION

Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra & First Baptist Church Music Ministry will present a free concert at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center of FBC Rockwall. The event includes a Community Choir that will sing four pieces during the concert, accompanied by the RPO. The concert will honor Rockwall area first responders & the Armed Forces, past & present.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 3
SACHSE RED, WHITE & BLUE BLAST

Sachse Chamber of Commerce partnered with the City of Sachse to present the 8th Annual Red, White & Blue Blast at Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Drive in Sachse, with live music, games, food, crafts & fireworks. A parade kicks off the evening at 6 p.m.

 

 

SATURDAY, JULY 4
HEATH’S INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

Parade begins with a vintage WWII plane flyover at 9 a.m. at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary,330 Laurence Drive. Awards will be presented immediately following at a patriotic celebration in Towne Center Park, with a live barbershop quartet and free popsicles.  Congressman John Ratcliffe will deliver the invocation, Pledge & National Anthem. SATURDAY, JULY 4
ROCKWALL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE

Sons of the American Revolution, the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse, veteran’s organizations & elected officials will be among those marching or riding in Rockwall’s  4th of July Parade beginning at 11 a.m. The parade travels from the Rockwall ISD football stadium to Dobbs Elementary (same route as 2014). SATURDAY, JULY 4
FIREWORKS AT HARRY MYERS PARK

Celebrate the Fourth with free, live music from Bad Moon Rising and Escape at Harry Myers Park. Festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, coolers, grills for cooking, as well as fishing, canoeing or kayaking gear to use on the lake. Fireworks start at dark. Best viewing: Harry Myers Park, Dobbs Elementary, Tuttle Athletic Complex & RISD Education Center. ROWLETT FREEDOM 5K ON MAIN

One mi Fun Run starts at 7:45 a.m. 5K starts at 8. Contests for Most Patriotic Dressed & Most Patriotic Pet. $5 breakfast hosted by Boy Scouts at 7:30 a.m. Tickets: Rowlett5K.com.

ROWLETT FIREWORKS AT BAYSIDE
Come celebrate freedom with your friends, family & community at Rowlett’s free Fireworks at Bayside event featuring a fireworks show, children’s activities, festival-style foods, vendor tables, a performance by opening act, Memphis Soul, & a 90 minute greatest hits set from Sister Sledge. SATURDAY, JULY 4
STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR AT FIREWHEEL

Firewheel Town Center will celebrate our nation’s independence with a full afternoon of family fun during a Star Spangled Spectacular from 2-10 p.m. Families will enjoy face painters, balloon artists, bounce houses, strolling entertainment and more. Hank FM party patrol team will be onsite with games and giveaways. The event will culminate with a patriotic fireworks display sponsored by the City of Garland at 9:15 p.m.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 4
TERRELL’S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

It’s a red, white & blue celebration for kids of all ages. Cheer for the youngsters putting on their best patriotic colors for the Tricycle/ Bicycle Decorating Contest and Parade at Ben Gill Park. The Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau’s annual July 4th Fireworks Display held at dark draws 5,000-6,000 spectators.
