Rockwall’s Addie Bryan honored at Masonic Lodge

(ROCKWALL, TX – August 17, 2015) Eight-year-old Addison Bryan, who recently celebrated her birthday by donating over $69,000 to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, was honored this evening in a ceremony at the East Trinity Masonic Lodge #157 in Rockwall.

Addie stood on the corner of her Shores neighborhood holding up a sign asking for donations to the hospital where she has been a patient since birth. She acquired extensive media coverage, including interviews with WFAA and Fox News.

Tonight’s meeting at the East Trinity Masonic Lodge featured a celebration for Addie, whose father is a Mason. The lodge, which is a charitable fraternity that supports many community causes, was decked out with pink cupcakes (Addison’s favorite color) and a birthday balloon. She was handed a single pink flower during the ceremony because she is “one of a kind.” She was also presented with a plaque honoring her as a “Super Fundraiser.”

“We are proud to have Addison as a member of our extended lodge family,” Worshipful Master John Gordy said in a recent press release, explaining that “all adults could learn a lesson from Addison’s selfless dedication and devotion to helping others.”

Addison enjoyed her pink birthday cupcakes with her family and the rest of the Masons before the remainder of the meeting commenced.

Addie will be interviewed live on Fox and Friends at 7:50 a.m. Central on Tuesday, August 18.
