Rockwall County Commissioners proclaim Oct 18-24 National Friends of Libraries Week

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct 14, 2015) On October 13, 2015, Judge David Sweet and the Rockwall County Commissioners declared October 18-24, 2015 as National Friends of Libraries Week. At the Friends meeting later that day, Judge Sweet presented the Proclamation to Gloria Bishop, President of Friends of the Rockwall County Library.

Friends of the Rockwall County Library is a non-profit organization that promotes the importance of the library to our community and enhances library programs and facilities through our service.  If you would like to become a member of Friends, please pick up a membership form at the library front desk or in the lobby.  You may, also, join by visiting our website friendsrockwall.com, click on Membership.  Payment may be made by check or credit card using PayPal.

    • In further celebration, Friends of the Rockwall County Library is sponsoring a free Face Painting booth on Saturday, October 24th at the Blase Family Farm Pumpkin Patch, 1232 E Fork Rd., Rockwall, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
