PARADE ROUTE MAP: City of Rockwall July 4th Parade

(ROCKWALL, TX — June 29, 2016) The City of Rockwall will host a July 4th parade and fireworks show to celebrate the Independence Day Holiday. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Utley Middle School. The parade route is attached and the best locations to see the parade are along Townsend Drive and Clark Street. The City is still taking applications for floats, vehicles, and even just folks wanting to ride their bike in the parade (application attached). If you’d like to enter a float into the parade, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department, Andrew Ainsworth at aainsworth@rockwall.com

After the parade, come grab a free hot dog at Harry Myers Park near the pool area from 12:00-2:00 p.m. or while supplies last. The public pool and spray ground will be open all day on July 4th.

Later that evening, live music will be provided by Railhead at Harry Myers Park from 7:45-9:15 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk (approximately 9:20-9:30 p.m.). The best viewing areas to watch fireworks are Harry Myers Park, Dobbs Elementary, Tuttle Athletic Complex, and the RISD Administration Building. As a reminder, the field across from Harry Myers Park will be $5/car for parking and will benefit the Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club.

The City of Rockwall wishes everyone a safe holiday weekend! For more information about Rockwall Parks & Recreation programs, visit playrockwall.com.
