(ROWLETT, TX – July 19, 2016) My name is Dallas, and I am about 7 years old, and I am a Shepherd/Husky mix. At about 45 lbs, I am just the right size! I love to be with humans. My coat is so soft. Maybe because my favorite thing is when someone brushes my coat. It is so relaxing that I just lay down, stretch out and smile. Aaaahhh!
I like the other dogs at the shelter, but the calmer ones are my best friends. I am getting so tired of being at the shelter. I have been here for a while now. None of my human friends understand why. They say I am beautiful. Can I go home with you today?
Dallas is available for adoption. Please come and meet this special boy and the rest of his canine and feline companions at the Rowlett Animal Shelter.
Mathis is a great dog. He is a male, two-year-old Chocolate Lab mix and already knows the sit and come commands. He is such a fun guy who came in with his girlfriend that he was bonded to. Unfortunately his girlfriend has a new family now and Mathis was left behind.
While he is a little skiddish, Mathis just needs to become familiar with new people and places to get over that. At a recent adoption event at Paddle Point Park, Mathis was freaked out by the sound of the water but within 30 minutes, he was in the lake having a great time. Mathis had so much fun at the adoption event. He even had fun checking out the turtles.
Would you please consider giving Mathis a forever home of his own?
