Applications being accepted for Rockwall Youth Advisory Council

(ROCKWALL, TX – Aug. 3, 2016) The Rockwall Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a great way for teens to learn about and become active in municipal government. Several graduating high school seniors this year have left vacancies in the organization, and the City of Rockwall is accepting applications for students who would like to be considered for the 2016-2017 school year.

Applicants must be high school students who reside within the City of Rockwall. The Rockwall YAC provides an opportunity for local youth to positively impact their community by participating in municipal government as well as City-sponsored activities and events.

At least one letter of recommendation is required, and applications are due no later than Friday, September 2. Interviews will be scheduled in early September with appointment selections estimated to be made by the end of September.
