Eyecare Rockwall to host back-to-school Kids Eye Care event to benefit Children’s Advocacy Center

(ROCKWALL, TX – Aug. 16, 2016) Eyecare Rockwall will host a Back-to-School “Kids Eye Care” event at its new  facility, 810 Rockwall Parkway, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

Eyecare Rockwall is raising awareness about the importance of yearly eye examinations for children, while bringing “focus” to the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County, by donating $10 for every reduced-cost eye examination performed by their three optometrists, Dr. Holly Britt, Dr. Patrick Parks and Dr. Ashley Zinser.

Eyecare Rockwall points out that:

• Most children never receive a REAL eye examination
• 80% of learning is through vision.
• 60% of vision-related learning problems in students are missed in typical vision screenings performed at school or at a Pediatrician’s office. 
• 1 in 4 children have a vision problem significant enough to impact learning.
• Most people do not have vision insurance coverage for their children. 

Eyecare Rockwall says it is their goal to “help the students in Rockwall achieve great success this school year by providing them with the tools they need to be visually prepared for school work and learning.”

Event Details:

• Saturday, September 10^th, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Eyecare Rockwall – 810 Rockwall Pkwy, on the corner of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall campus
• A fun-filled day full of eye exams for school-aged children with package specials on complete pairs of glasses!  
• $39 exam only, no insurance accepted for this offer.
• $10 from every eye exam will be donated to the Rockwall CAC.
• $99 for the complete package – an examination and glasses (lenses with anti-reflective coating and warrantied frame for a year!)  NO insurance will be filed with this offer.
• There will be fun & games, prizes, and drawings.
