Royse City High School Homecoming King and Queen crowned at game

(ROYSE CITY, TX — September 27, 2017) Royse City High School celebrated Homecoming on Sept. 22 with a traditional Royalty Ceremony prior to the football game. Students from 9-12th grade were nominated for the Royal Court. Of the senior king and queen nominees, one young man and lady were selected for the honor by student body vote. In a surprise announcement on field, Eric Mikulski and Lexie Hartnett were crowned 2017 Homecoming King and Queen.

Eric was escorted by his parents Antony and Michelle. He is involved in Partners PE, Special Olympics, and Night Vision at Lake Pointe Church. Eric also to attend the College of Life.  “I want to make my friends and school proud by being the best Bulldog I can be,” he said.

Lexie was escorted by her parents, Dean and Rachelle.  Lexie is involved in Cheer Athletics Super Katz Special Needs Cheer Team, Special Olympics and competes in “Play Days” on her horse Shorty, where she won Top Cowgirl in 2014.  Lexie is considering many future possibilities after high school.  She was thrilled to be nominated and to represent RCHS.

In addition to Eric and Lexie, Seniors Tyler Crumrine, Carlton Davis, Josh Dusek, Zayne Mendoza, Izzy Anthony, Haley Burden, Averi Hicks and Destiny Vogel represented the class of 2017.

The Freshman Class Prince and Princess were Alex Vargas and Sole Brown. The Sophomore Class Prince and Princess were Elijah Yelverton and Lauren Soto. The Junior Class Prince and Princess were Clayton Bradford and Morgan Loosier.
