Jeff Davidson announces run for Rockwall County Treasurer

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 17, 2018) Fellow Rockwall County Residents, Jeff Davidson is a candidate for Rockwall County Treasurer. Davidson has business management and financial experience since the 1980s. Davidson understands the importance of improving the goals of the County Treasurer’s office. Davidson, with extensive experience in finance, holds a BS degree, with honors, in mathematics and computer science from Stanford University.

Davidson is a U.S. Navy military veteran and a member of the local American Legion Post 117. He began his finance career as an Accounting Specialist with BKS Surgery Center, where he coordinated daily finance operations while managing employee operations.

From there Davidson was the Finance Manager for OEC, where he processed payroll, bank reconciliations, audits, reviewed company revenue/expenses and employee benefits. A major accomplishment was when he successfully reduced the company’s expenses by thousands of dollars.

For more than 9 years, Davidson was employed with Rockwall County as an Assistant Auditor and promoted to the Compliance and Collections Director. His degree in math / computer science and extensive finance skills served him well in these positions. Davidson was instrumental in creating and managing the mandatory State Compliance and Collections Department where hundreds of thousands of delinquent fines and fees were collected for the County.

In addition to his many years working for the county, he served as the Precinct 3 Republican Chair, and truly recognizes the importance of being involved within the Rockwall community. Davidson has been conducting a grassroots transparent campaign by going door to door in each neighborhood explaining how he will improve the standards of the County Treasurer’s office.

Davidson is married, with four children, two of which are special needs. His personal accomplishments include being a private pilot and successfully landing a single engine plane during a severe thunderstorm. Another personal accomplishment is parenting his two special needs children, making sure they’ll be well taken care of beyond his years.
