Cain Middle School Robotics teams advance to World Championship

(ROCKWALL, TX — March 12, 2018) The Robo Rascals (team 23310D), a 7th grade VEX EDR robotics team from Cain Middle School, won the North Texas Vex State Championship in Greenville February 24, qualifying the team to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky April 25-28.

In addition to being named Tournament Champions, the Robo Rascals also won the Amaze Award and the Robot Skills Challenge. They competed against 24 top teams from the area. It is their first year to compete in VEX EDR.  The team has competed in VEX IQ the last two years, advancing to Worlds both of those seasons.

Team members are: Jacob Pabian, Parker Angel, Garrett Hail and Dylan Almy (Left to Right).  They are grateful to coaches Mr. Chris Hail and Dr. Mano Judd, their mentor Joseph Pabian, from the RHHS Black Hawk Robotics Team (team 3310), as well as their robotics teacher Mr. Lane Doughtie.

The Lords of the Ring (team 23310X), a 7th and 8th grade VEX IQ robotics team from Cain Middle School, competed in the North Texas Vex IQ State Championship in Greenville on March 3rd.  Due to their amazing work on their STEM Research Project the team has qualified to compete in the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky April 29 – 31.

They competed against over 30 of the top teams from the area and finished the competition in third place.
