Rockwall LULAC to welcome Director of Dallas’ Office of Welcoming Communities & Immigrant Affairs

(ROCKWALL, TX – May 22, 2018) Rockwall LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) will hold its May meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at Arboledas Mexican Grill, 1103 Ridge Road, Suite A in Rockwall. This month’s guest speaker is Liz Cedillo-Pereira, the Director of the City of Dallas’ Office of Welcoming Communities and Immigrant Affairs. All persons interested in LULAC and its mission are welcome to attend.

A native of Dallas, Liz has more than 16 years of experience as an attorney, advocate, and policy advisor at the federal, state and local levels. Most recently, she served as the Obama Administration’s Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where she focused on immigration policy and community engagement to foster relations in communities across the nation. Throughout her professional career, Liz has demonstrated her commitment to improving our country’s immigration system.
