Lone Star CASA (Court appointed Special Advocate) trains volunteers to advocate for children in foster care in Kaufman and Rockwall counties. Volunteers complete 30+ hours of training, including observing court and visiting the Kaufman County Children’s’ Emergency Shelter.

Volunteers are assigned a case and continue on that case until permanency is achieved for the child or children. Another new volunteer training is scheduled for the fall.
