Rockwall LULAC welcomes Dr. Leonardo Ledezma and Ericka Ledferd July 24

(ROCKWALL, TX — July 19, 2018) Rockwall LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) will host two of the community’s public education experts at its July 24, 2018, meeting. Dr. Leonardo Ledezma, a member of the Superintendent’s Strategic Planning Committee for the Rockwall Independent School District, and Ms. Ericka Ledferd, a long-time educator from Royse City, will discuss the state of public education in Rockwall County.

Dr. Ledezma, who has spent decades as an educator and public-school administrator, notes that “the Superintendent’s Strategic Planning Committee has completed its months-long work on the Rockwall ISD’s mission and goals for the next five years.” Ms. Ledferd immigrated to the U.S when she was 17, eventually becoming an American citizen. After earning numerous degrees in education, she has devoted her life to public education and advocating for youth empowerment.

The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Arboledas Mexican Grill, 1103 Ridge Road, Rockwall, Texas 75087. The meeting is free and open to the public.
