Local non-profits to come together for 2nd Annual PhilanthroParty in Downtown Rockwall

Make a Huge Impact This North Texas Giving Day

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – August 21, 2018) For the second year in a row, numerous Rockwall County non-profit organizations will come together for the Rockwall County North Texas Giving Day PhilanthroParty. The community is invited to join the festivities from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 15th at San Jacinto Plaza on the Downtown Rockwall Square.

In 2017, Melody Hail of Rockwall County Helping Hands reached out to non-profit organizations throughout Rockwall County and implemented the Inaugural Rockwall County PhilanthroParty.

“Philanthroparties are an extension of North Texas Giving Day. Each year, local community organizations join forces for one day leading up to North Texas Giving Day in an event called PhilanthroParty. The event is a great opportunity for residents to enjoy a fun day of games, door prizes, and learning more about each organization and the numerous ways they serve that community. It also gives citizens the chance to pledge donations to the organization of their choice. It’s a beautiful way for our community to come together, and help support the organizations that give all year long to the underserved citizens,” said Hail.

“We are very excited for the community to experience this year’s Rockwall County PhilanthroPartry,” added Megan Riddle, 2018 Rockwall County PhilanthroParty Chair. “The event will include nearly 20 local non-profit charities, games,  music and more. We encourage anyone that is interested in supporting or learning more about each organization to bring your kids, pets and family, and join us as we celebrate this amazing county that we live in. This year, we will also have a collaborative booth at the Fall Aspasians. If you are attending that incredible event, please stop by our Information/Donation Booth to find out more about what each organization is doing in Rockwall County.”

Participating Rockwall County organizations include The Children’s Advocacy Center, Lone Star CASA, Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County, One Man’s Treasure, Patriot Paws, Poiema Foundation, Pregnancy Resource Center, Rockwall County Helping Hands, Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Rockwall Music Fest., and Women In Need.
