(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 18, 2018) To help families in need sleep in comfort and warmth this holiday season, Sleep Experts, committed to “changing lives one relationship at a time,” hosted its 15th annual Share the Warmth drive. The local mattress retailer, including the Rockwall area store on East I-30, collected new blankets, pillows, comforters and sheets at its more than 35 stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Sleep Experts also partnered with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, including troops in the Rockwall area, for the eighth year to get a helping hand in garnering 5,386 blanket donations.

“Giving back to our community is a part of being a Girl Scout,” said Amanda Duquette, Chief Marketing Officer. “Girl Scouts is proud to partner in this effort to spread love and warmth during the cold winter months to those who need it most.”

On Friday, December 14th, Sleep Experts staff and local Girl Scouts delivered donations to the benefitting organization, Salvation Army. The Dallas-based nonprofit has been “Doing the most good,” by fighting the causes and effects of poverty, hunger, and meeting the needs of our communities since 1865. Girl Scout participants received a special Share the Warmth community service patch for their efforts to collect and distribute the blankets.

“Sleep Experts is proud to once again partner with the Girl Scouts to help share the warmth in DFW. The Girl Scouts come out in full force and drive this event every year,” said Bo Morris, director, Sleep Experts.  “Giving back to our community is a core value at Sleep Experts, and we are thankful for all of the support from the community and the Girl Scouts to support this great cause.”
