Marine Corps League Lake Ray Hubbard Detachment to Conduct Charter Ceremony

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 21, 2019) On Saturday, January 26 at 1 p.m., the Marine Corps League Lake Ray Hubbard Detachment will conduct its Charter Ceremony at the Veterans Resource Outreach Center (VROC) located at 4210 Industrial Street, Building 100 in Rowlett.

The Marine Crops League is the only federally chartered, Marine Corps related veterans organization in the country. Among the objectives of the League, it preserves the traditions of the United States Marine Corps and creates a bond between those individuals currently serving in the Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from service.

Robert Petka will be installed as the detachment Commandant along with his junior staff. The detachment Charter itself will have the names of all original members of the Lake Ray Hubbard Detachment. This Charter with the names of the original Detachment members will remain unchanged and with the Detachment throughout its existence.

The Lake Ray Hubbard Detachment of the Marine Corps League meets the first Saturday of every month. Its new meeting location is at the VROC in Rowlett.

Submitted by Greg “Mongo” Campbell, Public Information Officer for the new Lake Ray Hubbard Detachment of the Marine Corps League and Director with Third Watch LEMC, for publication in Blue Ribbon News.
