Ray Dunlap Named New Terrell, TX Economic Development President

Dunlap’s prior role as Community/Economic Development Manager of the Fairview EDC brings new business recruiting and retention expertise

(TERRELL, TX – Feb. 5, 2019) Terrell Chamber of Commerce President Carlton Tidwell is proud to announce and welcome Ray Dunlap, PCED as the new President of the Terrell Economic Development Corporation. Dunlap will be the primary contact for businesses, investors and developers looking to relocate or expand operations in Terrell. He will focus on business attraction, business retention, incentive programs and on marketing strategies to increase Terrell’s visibility on a local, state and national level.
 
Dunlap has served as the Community/Economic Development Manager for the Town of Fairview, Texas since 2009. In a career spanning more than 36 years, Ray has demonstrated excellence in deal-making, sales and management. He also serves on the board of directors of the Texas Economic Development Council and Team Texas.

“We look forward to Ray joining our team,” said TEDC Chairman Rick Carmona. “Terrell America is in the midst of a retail and commercial development boom at the Crossroads of Terrell/Terrell Market Center and Mike Cronin/Airport Business Parks. His leadership will enable Terrell to continue job creation, strengthen its competitiveness and enhance our quality of life.”

Dunlap, his wife Robin and their two eleven-year-old daughters, Chloe and Ashley, will relocate to Terrell from Rowlett, Texas. They are excited to become residents and members of the Terrell community when Ray begins his new duties on March 4, 2019.

He graduated from Panola College and the Community Development Institute with an emphasis in Economic Development Finance, Business Retention, Investment and Management. Ray enjoys singing Southern Gospel music with the Brookside Quartet, a group he helped form.
