About 200 students gathered for an open discussion with Ratcliffe about how the politics of Washington ties in with their Pre-AP U.S. History curriculum and impacts their lives on a daily basis.

“One of my favorite parts of my job as a U.S. Congressman is the opportunity I get to engage with young folks across the 18 counties I represent who will one day be the leaders of our country,” Ratcliffe said.

“The students at Royse City Middle School demonstrated an impressive level of interest in the politics and policies that are impacting their lives, and I was truly inspired by their desire to learn more about how they can become civically engaged in their community.”
