Message from the Mobile City Mayor to Local Fire Departments

Letter to the Editor

(MOBILE CITY, TX – April 5, 2019) Mobile City experienced a fire on Thursday evening, April 4 at around 5:30 pm. Thank God that all our citizens are safe and no one was hurt!

As the Mayor of the City of Mobile City, I would like to commend the fire departments of Fate, Royce City and Rockwall for their quick response to our harrowing experience!

The firefighters were so very diligent and professional at putting out the fire so that it did not spared to any of the surrounding homes.

The Fire Chief of Fate kindly put the Garcia family up in a near by hotel, since the fire was next to their home and caused some heat and smoke damage.

We lost our firehouse and our 1965 Chevy Fire Truck, but we are so grateful that no one was injured, thanks to the dedicated men and women of the Fate, Royce City and Rockwall Fire departments!  To those great folks, we at  Mobile City are truly and sincerely grateful and want to extend a Huge “Thank You” again!!  May God bless each and every one of you!

By Mayor Kenny Phillips, Mobile City.
