Reese Manor Renovation: Leadership Rockwall Unveils Class Project

(ROCKWALL, TX — April 26, 2019) Residents at Reese Manor Senior Housing will enjoy living in style thanks to some upgrades and renovation by the Leadership Rockwall Class of 2019.

For their class project, Leadership Rockwall spruced up all four floors of the senior housing complex located at 100 Lake Meadows Dr. On Thursday, April 25, the class invited the community out to the unveiling of its project complete with a ribbon cutting, tours of the complex, and refreshments. Folks marveled at the new clean landings and community rooms decked out with fresh paint, new furniture, security cameras, beautiful plants and more than 40 paintings donated by Rockwall ISD art students. The Leadership Rockwall class also created an outdoor patio and sitting area for residents to relax.

“This project has been a true labor of love for all of us,” said Leadership Rockwall Class of 2019 member Debbie Branch. “We had several projects we were thinking about, but once everyone from the class came here, met some of the residents and saw the facility, we all just fell in love instantaneously. We worked very hard, and I think we have accomplished our vision for the project and more.”

The Reese Manor Renovation and Rejuvenation project was made possible thanks in large part to community donations and sponsorships. Sponsors of the project include: Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall, Allegiance Title Company, Alliance Bank, Ashley Furniture Homestore, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Capital Title, CertaPro Painters, Everybody Massage, Green Cleaning, HomeBank Texas, Independence Title, Sherwin Williams, PPG Paints, Alarm 4 Less,  Signature Signs & Graphics, Rockwall Independent School District, Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Rockwall.

“We love serving the community, and there wasn’t even a hesitation for us in partnering with the Chamber to sponsor this project,” said Jason Linscott, CFO of the project’s lead sponsor Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall. “It’s such a huge benefit to all of the Reese Manor residents, and we see the immense rewards in looking around the room in what we’ve been able to do here.”
