(ROCKWALL, TX — May 3, 2019) On Rockwall Founders Day, the Terry Fisher American Legion Post continues to celebrate its 100th Anniversary and will commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day with several activities on Saturday May 18, 2019.  These include a D-Day exhibit and a child friendly obstacle course. The highlight of the day will be a Parachutist Demonstration from a vintage WWII C-47 type aircraft, the same model used to drop the D-Day paratroopers in Normandy on June 6, 1944.

A flyover by the C-47 from the DFW Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will occur at 5:15pm followed by the Parachutists from the Dallas Sky Diving Center jumping from the aircraft at approximately 5:30pm, preceding the 6:00pm Founders Day Concert.  The flyover and jump will be narrated.

The Memorial Day concert at the Harbor in Rockwall on the evening of Thursday, May 23, will also honor the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
