Meet the Vals & Sals of Rockwall ISD

Carson Pennington, Rockwall-Heath High School Valedictorian

Carson Pennington, Rockwall-Heath High School Valedictorian, attended Springer Elementary and Cain Middle School. Carson was involved in JV Orchestra, IB Diploma Program, Spanish National Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Astronomy Club, Environmental Conservation Club and UIL Science and Spelling Teams. Carson will attend University of Texas at Dallas where she will major in Physics. Her parents are Clark Pennington and Cheri Pennington.

Karissa Jaye Smith, Rockwall-Heath High School Salutatorian

Karissa Jaye Smith, Rockwall-Heath High School Salutatorian, attended Pullen Elementary School and Cain Middle School in Rockwall, as well as Grundschule auf der Wanne and Geschwister-Scholl-Schule Gymnasium in Tübingen, Germany. Karissa was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Chain Reaction Service Club, Heath Cross Country and the Fort Worth Marathon. Karissa will attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she will study biomedical engineering. Her parents are Dr. Jay Eric and Mrs. Kristy Ann Smith.

Grace Wilding, Rockwall High School Valedictorian

Grace Wilding, Rockwall High School Valedictorian, attended Grace Hartman Elementary and Williams Middle School. She was involved in Academic Decathlon, House of Representatives Member PTA Student Representative, National Honor Society Member and drill team. Grace will attend Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she will major in Business. Her parents are David Wilding and Michelle Wilding.

Jason Apuan, Rockwall High School Salutatorian

Jason Apuan, Rockwall High School Salutatorian, attended Celia Hays Elementary and Utley Middle School. He was involved in Academic Decathlon Team, Varsity Orchestra, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and Embrace Club. Jason will attend Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado where he will major in Biochemical Engineering. His parents are Michael Apuan and Andi Apuan.
