Local Travel Agent Graduates with In-demand Destination Wedding Certification

As part of Destination Wedding University’s inaugural class, Rossana Jeri Taylor now offers a new range of travel services, backed by an innovative new training course

(ROCKWALL, TX – Sept. 3, 2019) Destination weddings currently account for 25% of all weddings annually. As a segment, it continues to grow each year across demographics. Rossana Jeri Taylor, a local travel agent who has been serving the city of Rockwall and surrounding areas since 2012 recognized there was increasing demand for travel experts who can create unforgettable weddings in the world’s most beautiful places.

Taylor also knew that she had questions about the practical and business ins and outs of this complex space and needed professional guidance. “This niche requires a specific skill set that’s very different from other types of travel planning. Agents who try to dive in without mentoring get overwhelmed really quickly, and I didn’t want to fall into that,” Taylor said.

In the Fall of 2018, Taylor saw that Will Medina — a nationally-recognized travel agent with nearly a decade of destination wedding planning experience — had launched Destination Wedding University and its flagship training program called The Destination Wedding Playbook.

Taylor jumped at the opportunity for top-tier professional training in this fast-growing industry segment.

The 15-week virtual course is hosted live weekly by Medina and features four in-depth modules that cover topics like finding a niche, client attraction, consistent conversion, and automation of services for peak efficiency and organization.

Taylor was part of a cohort of 34 enthusiastic students for the initial launch. In a few weeks, she will graduate as a certified Destination Wedding Expert, with focused training on how to plan, set up, organize, and deliver one-of-a-kind destination weddings.

With enrollment for Destination Wedding Playbook expected to triple in 2020, Taylor is also excited to be on the leading edge of a growing trend. “As a travel expert and businesswoman, I’m always looking for ways to grow and learn,” she said. “I can’t wait for what’s next.”
